Senior Investigator Reporting to the Executive Director of Stanford University's new Office of Investigations, this Senior Investigator will be a member of a team responsible for conducting independent and neutral fact finding on a variety of subject matters involving students, faculty and staff. Core Responsibilities: Conduct complex and in-depth investigations in a professional and timely manner. Maintain accurate and thorough records of investigatory processes and comprehensive written reports. Provide information to relevant individuals concerning key components of applicable investigative processes. Provide periodic, timely updates regarding the status of pending investigations. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications: At least seven (7) years experience planning and carrying out complex internal investigations. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify key issues. Demonstrated ability to effectively address and work with diverse constituencies. Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills. Ability to remain neutral, independent, and objective. Ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize among multiple concurrent significant investigations. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish collaborative partnerships. Excellent English written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience working with institutions of higher education preferred. Juris Doctor degree preferred. Residency in the Bay Area required.
