ABOUT BAPTIST URGENT CARE:
Urgent Team operates walk-in centers that provide a wide array of healthcare services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses, as well as occupational health and wellness care. Our centers are conveniently open seven days a week: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All locations are Accredited Care Centers, a testament to our commitment to safety, quality, and comprehensive services, part of a family of over 80 centers across eight brands.

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technician who will perform x-ray procedures while utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology. This role involves operating diagnostic equipment, developing images, and preparing the examination room with necessary supplies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties reflect the primary expectations of this role, but other tasks may be assigned:

• Greet patients warmly upon their arrival in the facility.
• Keep patients informed about wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
• Address patient concerns and identify when to seek assistance in urgent scenarios.
• Conduct follow-up calls promptly.
• Assist front desk staff with patient check-in/check-out when needed.
• Document patient vital signs, history, and other essential information accurately.
• Facilitate patient transfers.
• Support procedures under direct supervision of the provider.
• Ensure timely radiology procedures for effective evaluation by the physician.
• Execute necessary quality control measures for imaging.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures following safety and care protocols.
• Maintain equipment functionality and report any issues to the Manager or provider on duty.
• Keep current with licensure and certification for radiology equipment and techniques.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
