Job Description

We are partnered with a top ranked Pulmonology institution by U.S. News & World Report. Located in Denver, they are the nation’s leading respiratory hospital and the only facility in the world dedicated exclusively to the research and treatment of respiratory, cardiac, immune, and related disorders.

We are looking for a Wellness Coach for our partner’s Tobacco Cessation Program. A Wellness Coach is responsible for helping program participants achieve and maintain optimal health status through phone coaching sessions, assessments, evaluations, support, and motivation.

Requirements

  • Must live in the state of Colorado, Arizona, Texas, or Hawaii
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (preferably in health sciences, health education, behavioral science, or social sciences)
  • A minimum of 1 year of Health or Wellness coaching experience
  • Ability to conduct motivational interviews
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese

Responsibilities

  • Explains Health Initiatives programs to participants, builds rapport, and engages callers following guidelines, protocols and scripting
  • Completes an intake questionnaire with participants to verify program eligibility.
  • Documents participant data in compliance with HIPAA requirements, departmental standards, and specific client guidelines
  • Maintains friendly, confident, open, and effective communication with participants to identify program eligibility and inspire continued participation.
