Job Title: Trade Show and Events Specialist, North American Region

Department: Marketing

Reports to: Regional Marketing and Communications Director

Location: Richmond, VA or Augusta, GA preferred (remote option could be possible for other locations)

Shift: 1st

FLSA status: Salary Exempt

Purpose of Position:

This role will be responsible for strategizing, executing, and handling post-analysis for multiple tradeshows, events, and meetings throughout the United States and North America.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, influential, and polished, focused on driving results while delivering engaging experiences. This person must be comfortable working within a highly-matrixed environment with critical internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and track budgets for overall event/tradeshow spend
  • Provide regular updates to keep all stakeholders abreast of upcoming events and deadlines.
  • Coordinate the logistics of the exhibit property, including maintenance of the trade show exhibit, demonstration equipment, and all accessories.
  • Work with market area marketers on a post-show analysis, including metrics.
  • Recognize opportunities to sponsor conference sessions that align with marketing goals.
  • Coordinate and support tradeshow and event management functions.
  • Help manage all trade show/event supplier relationships to deliver programs, services, and support resources to meet and exceed expectations and provide memorable experiences.
  • Help negotiate all supplier/hotel/venue contracts, scope and manage budgets, and purchase order process with our Marcom (Marketing and Communications) team.
  • Work extremely closely with the KSB market area marketers to provide best practices, templates, etc., which they can use with their sales counterparts to communicate effectively.
  • Create and manage time and action calendar for tradeshow and event deadlines (assortment, displays, graphics, etc.)
  • Coordinate the planning and logistics of trade shows/events/meetings.
  • Align resources to support all events, including communications, speakers, AV equipment and staging, registration, hotel arrangements, giveaways and gifts, etc.
  • Curate B2B Tradeshow and event requests and coordinate participation level
  • Responsible for employee and guest registrations and the coordination of pass retrieval
  • Assist with additional duties and responsibilities as requested.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing large and small scale events and tradeshows
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and project management software
  • Some graphic design skills and working knowledge of standard graphic design programs

Education :

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Physical Requirements:

Primarily desk-type duty except in tradeshow settings where some physical movement, standing and light lifting will be required.

Travel Requirements:

This role follows a hybrid framework requiring work from home, some in-office/s work, and the ability to travel up to 35% of the time.
