Salon Manager (Licensed Cosmetologist) Location: Brentwood, TN | Moxie Salon & Beauty Bar

Brentwood, TN location is seeking an
experienced Salon Manager who will lead with confidence, enthusiasm, and business acumenwhile also stepping in behind the chair to support as needed.
This role is ideal for an
outgoing, energetic, licensed cosmetologist who is ready to take charge of
team leadership, operations, sales, and service excellence .
About the Role:
The
Salon Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, a motivated and high-performing team, and a consistently elevated client experience. While not a lead stylist role, this position includes
occasional styling support especially during peak hours or staff shortages. Youll also be actively involved in
performance management ,
regular meetings with ownership and corporate , and
1:1 staff development conversations .
Key Responsibilities:
Salon Management & Leadership
- Supervise daily operations, staffing, schedules, and floor management
- Lead and motivate the team to meet service and sales goals
- Enforce brand standards, company policies, and operational excellence
- Conduct team huddles, staff check-ins, and 1:1 performance discussions
- Recruit, onboard, and train staff in collaboration with ownership
- Attend and contribute to daily, weekly, and quarterly meetings with ownership, corporate leadership, and fellow Moxie managers
- Document and track staff performance, attendance, and coaching efforts
Client Experience & Styling Support
- Step in as a stylist when needed to maintain service flow and client satisfaction
- Mentor team members on service delivery and consultation best practices
- Oversee the entire client experience from welcome to checkout
- Address and resolve client concerns with professionalism and empathy
Sales & Membership Growth
- Drive service and retail sales by setting and tracking daily/weekly goals
- Promote the salons membership program and ensure accurate management
- Monitor KPIs (e.g., average ticket, rebooking rate, client retention) and implement strategies for improvement
Operations, Inventory & Admin
- Manage salon cleanliness, organization, and product presentation
- Track and control inventory; place supply orders within budget
- Handle cash management and reconciliation at open/close
- Maintain secure, updated records for staff and clients
- Prepare and share performance reports with ownership
Marketing & Outreach
- Support social media and local marketing efforts
- Lead in-store promotions and client events
- Represent Moxie in the community through partnerships and outreach
Qualifications:
- Licensed Cosmetologist (Required)
- 34+ years of experience in a salon or beauty management role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skillsconfident on the floor and in 1:1s
- Positive, outgoing, and team-oriented personality
- Sales-driven mindset with proven ability to coach and lead teams
- Familiar with POS systems, digital tools (Google Workspace), and salon scheduling software
- Available for evening, weekend, and flexible hours , including attendance at internal meetings and off-hour staff needs
- Able to balance management responsibilities with occasional hands-on styling

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $23.00 $25.00 per hour +
performance bonuses Expected Hours: 3545 per week
Shifts: Day, evening, and weekend availability required
