Join Aprio's Risk Management Advisory /Governance, Risk, and Compliance team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio, LLP is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Director to join their dynamic team.The current practice is small but with significant opportunities for growth.

Position responsibilities:
  • Lead the practice including staff development and client relationships.
  • Lead marketing and business development activities for the practice with support from Aprio.
  • Hire, train, and retain talent to meet the growth of the practice.
  • Develop a business plan that supports agreed strategies; and improves market share and service levels whilst meeting the expected financial target.
  • Lead the building of market intelligence of key clients/ industry of choice.
  • Conceptualize and develop new or innovative services/solutions that meet client's needs.
  • Take the lead role in mentoring/coaching and talent development within the RA practice for succession. Conduct continuous on-the-job training for staff according to the project and provide constant feedback and support.
  • Contribute to branding eminence through conducting public talks/external seminars/client presentations.
  • Contribute to making branding articles on any subject related to risk services.
  • Lead and act as an exemplary role model for leaders at all levels, whilst continuously promoting a sense of loyalty and energizing others to act.
  • Build and sustain a high-performance culture by cultivating and amplifying individual and team strengths.
  • Continuously develop and deliver bold and innovative solutions that differentiate Aprio.
  • Develop and sustain long-term, trust-based relationships with stakeholders, clients, and team.
  • Communicates strategic direction effectively, to excite people around the vision and goals and aligns diverse teams to achieve success.
  • Manage the sustainable development of a strong pipeline of talent for current and future success, by driving a talent experience that differentiates Aprio.
  • Lead behavioral and cultural change through a supportive, collaborative, and highly inclusive environment where team members feel supported, respected, and engaged.
Qualifications:
  • Appropriate degree qualifications. Relevant professional qualifications such as CIA, CPA, and/or CISO would be an advantage.
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant experience; focus on risk consulting, internal controls, and business process-related projects.
  • Solid experience in managing, training, and developing staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively with other compliance practices and/or ability to lead multiple projects with changing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to work in a high-growth and dynamic environment.
  • Strong track record in both participating in and managing projects, team projects, and delivery of projects.
  • High-level communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate at all levels. Ability to build strong working relationships with Management, employees, and colleagues.
  • Display high levels of energy, and drive together with high standard professional ethics.
  • Skilled in all Microsoft tools such as Projects, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and Access
  • Experience with traditional internal audit engagements and SOX 404 consulting-related engagements is a must
