Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Development Associate to join our business development team. This position plays a key role in supporting strategic site selection and market planning initiatives for Asian consumer brands expanding into the North American market.

Working closely with the Business Development Manager, the Associate will conduct in-depth market research, evaluate commercial trade areas, and build internal data models to inform brand growth and real estate decisions. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about global brand development, particularly the challenges and opportunities facing Asian brands entering the U.S. market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research to assess geographic trends, customer movement, and commercial real estate patterns across U.S. metro markets.
  • Evaluate trade areas, demographic profiles, and competitive landscapes to support site selection and brand expansion strategies.
  • Develop and maintain internal databases and real estate models to track market performance and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate market insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in retail expansion, particularly for food & beverage, lifestyle, and consumer brands.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of full-time professional experience in retail or food beverage market strategy, site selection, consulting, or working with Asian consumer brands.
  • Knowledge of retail expansion models and brand development strategies for Asian brands abroad, especially in F\&B, lifestyle, or retail sectors.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. metropolitan markets and commercial real estate trends.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, GIS platforms, or real estate databases) is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to work at the intersection of international business, brand strategy, and real estate.
  • Exposure to high-growth Asian consumer brands entering the U.S. market.
  • A collaborative team environment that values curiosity, initiative, and impact.
