Job Summary

Compares defects against standards and recommend disposition
Reviews parts for conformance to drawings and specifications
interfacing internal/external customers and peers
Competent in operation of a CMM measurement system using PC-DMIS, Experience utilizing Brown and Sharp CMM is preferred but not required
Competent in GD&T

  • Defines and specifies activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.

  • Builds and maintains the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.

  • Identifies and addresses any issues with equipment performance.
  • \n
  • Audits, monitors, and determines the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
  • \n
  • Reports and troubleshoots manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods
  • \n
  • Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • \n \n Required Qualifications

    • \n Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • \n Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
    • \n
    • \n Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
    • \n
    • \n Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Ability to identify and seek needed information. Research skills. Problem-solving skills.

    Physical Requirements

    • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
    • \n
    • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
    • \n
    • May need to stand for long periods of time.
    • \n
    • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
    • \n
    • May be requested to work a different shift.
    • \n
    • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
    • \n
    • This position is Safety-Sensitive.
    • \n
