Compounding Pharmacy Technician

📍 Knoxville, TN | 🕒 Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Overview:

Join a growing, innovative pharmacy team dedicated to excellence in compounding. We’re seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician with expertise in both hazardous sterile and non-hazardous compounding, particularly in testosterone formulations using seed oil bases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounds, including testosterone formulations.
  • Maintain a clean, compliant compounding environment in accordance with USP <797> and <800> standards.
  • Document all compounding activities accurately, including batch records, cleaning logs, and quality control checks.
  • Participate in quality assurance and control programs to ensure product integrity.
  • Assist with inventory management: receiving, labeling, and storing supplies.
Qualifications:
  • PTCB Certification and Tennessee Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
  • Minimum 2 years of compounding experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Experience in sterile and nonsterile compounding.
  • Familiarity with USP <797> and <800> compliance.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience and leadership interest are a plus.
  • Experience compounding multiple drug types preferred.
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced, detail-driven setting with two shift options:
    • First Shift:9 AM – 5 PM (may vary to 8:30 AM – 6 PM)
    • Second Shift:11 AM – 7 PM
  • Monday through Friday schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
