Our hours of operation are:

  • Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm​
  • Saturday: 8am - 5pm
  • Sunday: 8am - 4pm

Job Description

This is a part-time position that is hybrid between veterinary technician and veterinary receptionist. Experience in both roles is preferred.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Qualifications

We’re looking for:

  • Veterinary technician or receptionist with at least 1+ years professional experience . Veterinary technician experience preferred.
  • Compassionate and calm team-player.
  • Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Excellent client communication, customer service, and medical record management skills.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish is  highly preferred , but not required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations.
  • Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques.
  • Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens.
  • Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture.
  • Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards.

Additional Information

Pay Range : $18 - $21/hr. depending on experience
