Protos Security is the largest technology-enabled security officer management company in the U.S. In addition to providing our clients with industry-leading security management software, Protos provides our clients with two categories of on-site security personnel: fully vetted unarmed or armed guards via a national network of 4,000 local and regional security vendors, as well as off-duty police officers via unique partnerships with municipal, county and state law enforcement agencies, other associates, and subcontractors.
As a result of continued growth in the off-duty police officer segment, Protos is currently looking for an Off-Duty Officer Relationship Manager (“ODO-RM”). Our ideal candidate can work in-person, full-time, at our Norwalk, CT, headquarters, however hybrid or remote work can be discussed. As an ODO-RM, you will work to improve off-duty officer performance and overall engagement by developing and maintaining strategic relationships with our various law enforcement partners. Interested candidates MUST be either a recently separated police officer (in good standing) or someone with related experience (i.e. 911 Operator, Dispatcher, Evidence Tech, Training Officer, Records Officer) who can demonstrate:
- The experience and credibility needed to work with police officials in municipal, county, or state law enforcement agencies across the US
- Knowledge of law enforcement jurisdictional and rank structure, differences, and limitations
- Knowledge of the practices and limitations regarding active officers handling off-duty assignments
- Familiarity with the operational, administrative, or procurement functions within a police department
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Guided by the principles of collaboration and partnership, build relationships with agency leadership and subcontractor representatives in order to improve officer performance and overall engagement
- Work with our Service and Development teams to create off-duty officer performance metrics, reporting methods, and feedback tools
- Regularly connect with agency leadership and subcontractor representatives via quarterly business reviews to discuss performance, review metrics, understand challenges, and suggest action plans; following up on a set cadence to ensure improvement
- Leverage your understanding of our agency or subcontractor capabilities, vertical specialization, price levels, and other attribute data, to ensure the best agency or subcontractor to client match; requesting pricing quotes when or if required
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate our agency or subcontractors’ needs; communicating those needs internally and developing plans designed to deliver results, improve products, and enhance partnerships
- Maintain agency or subcontractor contact profile data within Salesforce; documenting all interactions in real time
- Act as an interdepartmental liaison, sharing relevant agency or subcontractor information with our Operations, Compliance, Quality Assurance, Finance, Sales, and Strategic Accounts departments
- Handle special projects or perform additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope, as necessary to achieve assigned business objectives
REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Experience with a CRM (i.e. Salesforce) preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field preferred
- Experience in vendor relations, customer service, sales, or account management a plus
- Experience or familiarity with the security guarding industry is a plus
- Past experience working law enforcement off-duty assignments is a plus
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
- Travel - up to 15%; candidate must be available to support all U.S. time zones
- Position is full-time, exempt
- Compensation is commensurate with experience
