**Description**
SAIC is looking for a **Top** **Secret cleared Network Engineer** with experience in US Navy IT networks to support the sustained operation and maintenance of a newly deployed naval enterprise transport network, ensuring 24/7/365 availability and reliability. The position will support end-to-end network, system, and element visibility; facilitate rapid operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning to maintaining the operational integrity of a mission-critical network, requiring both technical expertise and a commitment to excellence in service delivery.
**Specific duties include:**
+ Provide Tier 1 level engineering operations support to quickly identify, triage, and address outages, analyzing symptoms and potential root causes to implement effective resolutions or escalate to Tier 2/Tier 3 support as required
+ Utilize advanced monitoring tools and processes to oversee network infrastructure, monitor the performance and availability of managed services and systems across multiple exchange points, and ensure optimal performance
+ Perform day to day maintenance, fixes, configuration corrections, software and hardware updates, and deploymentsAdhere to system and operational reporting obligations
+ Operate and maintain the privileged access solutions
+ Maintain continuous verification of failover processes and disaster recovery procedures
+ Operate and maintain hardware upgrade process and procedures
+ Update and maintain any software builds applicable to deployed equipment
+ Enact change management for the solution
+ Operate and maintain existing incident management processes
+ Keep firmware, software updates and patches up to date for equipment
+ Support the design, analysis, planning, modification and maintenance of the network and network components supporting data, voice and/or audio communication activities
+ Support analysis of short/long term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling
+ Conducts testing of network systems
+ Support the evaluation of new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network
**Qualifications**
**Required Education and Years of Experience:**
+ Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and two (2) years relevant experience supporting a large network infrastructure
+ 4 years of additional experience can be considered in lieu of degree
**Required Security Clearance:**
+ Top Secret Clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
**Required Skills and Experience:**
+ Experience required with: Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP); Access Control Lists; Layer 2 Switching; Spanning Tree; Packet Analysis; SPINE-LEAF architecture
+ Experience with the following is a plus: Arista switches; Palo Alto Firewalls; TAP and network visibility (i.e. Gigamon, NetScout); SD-WAN and Spine-Leaf Architecture; working with VLANs and VRFs; configuring IPSEC tunnels; and troubleshooting routing issues
+ Working knowledge of SD-WAN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Virtual Private Network devices
+ Understanding of TCP/IP in regard to routing and subnetting
+ Capable of supporting TACACS+ on Cisco ISE and ISE Cube
**Required Certifications:**
+ IAT Level II required (Sec +), CCNA/CCNP
**Working Environment and Travel:**
+ Able to work shifts to cover a 24x7 operational environment
+ Able to cover on-call schedule on a rotating basis
+ Travel up to 25% may be required
