EGA Associates is seeking a local contract Histology Technician for a local contract job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
a Histotechnologist in the Anatomic Pathology section of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service.
The candidate must be a qualified, experienced Histotechnologist. This individual will accession surgical pathology
specimens; maintain tissue processor, embed tissue, cut microscopic sections of embedded tissue, stain and coverslip
tissue to include special stains and Immunohistochemical staining, assist with frozen sections and assist pathologist with
other duties as assigned for 40 hours per week, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
During duty days/hours at the VAMC, the contractor shall be fully committed to VA patients and under the
direction/supervision of the Supervisor of Anatomic Pathology and Director of Anatomic Pathology. The contract
individual is expected to devote the time necessary to deliver the highest quality services to the VA patients. The
payment of any leave, including sick leave, holidays, or vacations, is the responsibility of the contractor.
