Experienced Cabinet Installer

Great opportunity for someone ready to bring their existing cabinet skills to the next level and grow into a well-compensated, bonus'd senior leadership position.

PremierGarage & Tailored Closet of the Northwest, based in Salem, OR, installs custom designed cabinets, shelving, countertops, and storage solutions in residential home interiors and garage spaces, as well as commercial and industrial buildings. We also do custom closets and in-home cabinetry such as pantries, laundry rooms, mud rooms, break rooms, and home and business/corporate offices. Due to the quarantine lifestyle caused by Covid, demand for home storage and organization has exploded! We have seen our sales revenue and install schedule more than double over the last 12-18 months!

We are looking for a full-time employee with at least 2-5 years of relevant experience and proven skill in cabinetry building and installation, woodworking, and/or finish-carpenter level work. The position involves building and assembling custom cabinets, shelving, and closet systems, unpacking raw materials and pallet deliveries, loading into and unloading out of our cabinet trucks, and installing at customer homes and commercial/industrial locations. This job does require fairly heavy lifting and moving cabinets around our shop and jobsites. The preferred candidate must have 2-3+ years hands on experience with:

• Table saws, miter saws, skill saws, edge bander, sharpeners, impacts, drivers, and drills, and all relevant hand tools
• High level of attention to detail, as necessary for reading and understanding design elevation plans, units of measurements, and 3D design plans
• Assembling cabinets, finishing wood countertops, installing cabinet and closet hardware and accessories, such as pulls, knobs, hinges, cams, hangar rods, LED lighting systems
• Measuring, cutting, and installing a variety of wood and melamine-wrapped particle board with ability to improvise and come up with ad hoc work-arounds on the fly when on-site.
• Planning out and overseeing all stages of installs, including: truck loading and unloading, cabinet assembly, maintaining materials and tools, cabinet install, and jobsite cleanup

Candidates must:

• Be clean cut, reliable, honest, and trustworthy with references
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Have and maintain a clean driver's record and obtain DMV documentation
• Be in good physical health and ability to carry up to 75 pounds
• Be highly dependable and reliably arrive on time when scheduled
• Have proven experience with and expert knowledge of relevant cabinet parts, components, hardware, as well as woodworking and installation tools and equipment
• Able to work in a team effort environment and display professionalism at all times
• Good customer service and communication skills with ability to interact efficiently and professionally on site with homeowners, contractors, and other clients
• Have flexibility to work a flexible schedule that will include overnight trips approximately 1-2 times per month and overtime when needed

Compensation $30+ per hour plus performance bonus depending upon prior experience
