Job Description: Industrial Mechanic

Location: Charlestown, MA

Employment Type: Direct Placement; Full-Time

Compensation: $30-45+

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Mechanic to join our team at a large-scale industrial facility in Charlestown, MA. This role is ideal for someone with strong electrical troubleshooting abilities, mechanical aptitude, and experience in welding and/or heavy equipment operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing plant machinery and infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

·Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.

·Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, controls, and wiring.

·Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, and other mobile machinery.

·Conduct basic to intermediate welding and fabrication tasks as needed.

·Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

·Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support production goals.

·Maintain accurate maintenance records and comply with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

·High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.

·Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.

·Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (PLC experience a plus).

·Welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick) preferred.

·Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

·Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures and other safety protocols.

·Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

·Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights.

·Comfortable working in industrial environments with noise, dust, and varying temperatures

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
