Long standing Construction company in NE Denver is looking for a HR Coordinator to add to the team. This role will grow to become the HR Manager and the Controller/CFO is truly looking for someone to mentor. Must be bilingual (Spanish/English).

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to join our team and support our growing construction business. This is a permanent position where you will play a key role in handling a diverse range of HR functions, including payroll, benefits administration, employee relations and more.

Responsibilities:

As an HR Coordinator, you will:

1. Oversee all aspects of payroll administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with prevailing wage laws.
2. Manage benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
3. Facilitate and maintain positive employee relations, addressing any issues or grievances in a timely and professional manner.
4. Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies in accordance with Employment Law.
5. Utilize HRIS systems effectively to manage employee data and generate reports.
6. Administer worker's compensation claims and manage unemployment processes.
7. Conduct E-Verify checks and manage leave of absence requests.
8. Partner with payroll providers such as ADP, Paychex, and Paylocity to ensure seamless payroll processing.
9. Act as a point of contact for employees, answering queries and providing guidance on HR-related matters.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the HR Coordinator role will have:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably within the construction industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, benefits administration, and HR policies.
3. A strong understanding of Employment Law and its application in the workplace.
4. Experience with HRIS systems and payroll providers such as ADP, Paychex, and Paylocity.
5. Familiarity with prevailing wage laws, worker's compensation, unemployment processes, E-Verify and leave of absence management.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships at all levels.
7. High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
8. The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
9. A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
