Help Desk Specialist Type: 6-Month Contract (Right to Hire) Work Setting: Onsite Location: Fort Worth, TX 76137 We’re seeking a Help Desk Specialist to join our team and provide technical support to end-users. This individual will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, managing service requests, and collaborating with IT and Cybersecurity teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent service. Key Responsibilities Technical Support Incident Management Collaboration and Communication User Support and Training Monitoring and Reporting Preventive Maintenance and Network Support Qualifications Experience 3 to 4 years of experience in help desk or IT support Strong troubleshooting experience across desktop, application, and virtual environments Technical Knowledge Familiarity with TCP/IP, LAN/WAN configuration, and basic network troubleshooting Experience with Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and Proxy Understanding of desktop security: antivirus, patching, encryption, backups Jira, Confluence, and VMware Horizon experience is a plus Skills Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and within a team Strong customer service skills, both in-person and over the phone Capable of managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines Takes ownership and follows through with minimal supervision Computer Proficiency Strong experience with Windows and Microsoft Office Familiarity with macOS, Android, iOS, and Chrome OS Experience with virtual machine deployment using VMware Knowledge of common business applications such as Adobe and Jira Education High school diploma required Bachelor’s degree preferred Additional Requirements Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
