Fleet Manager | $75-110K + Full Benefits Package
This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational performance and strategic planning of our client's fleet operations. This role will focus on ensuring that teams are aligned, resources are optimized, and key initiatives are delivered on time with within budget to support the company’s mission of safe and efficient transportation.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning and execution of fleet-related projects, focusing on capital investments and operational improvements.
• Manage department budgets, forecasts, and expenses to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
• Collaborate with teams across operations, maintenance, purchasing, and safety to implement fleet strategies effectively.
• Analyze fleet performance data to identify opportunities for optimizing costs, improving efficiency, and enhancing reliability.
• Develop standard operating procedures to establish consistency, ensure compliance, and promote accountability.
• Support long-term strategic planning, including vehicle replacement schedules, vendor partnerships, and technology integration.
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables while maintaining clear communication across all departments.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing fleet performance and recommending actionable solutions.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to bolster fleet safety, operational efficiency, and reliability.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations within a multi-location or fleet-based organization.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and foster collaboration across multiple teams.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills to align diverse teams with shared objectives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools; familiarity with fleet management software is a plus.
• Strategic mindset with a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Compensation & Benefits:
• The targeted salary range for this position is $75-110K
