Staff Accountant

$55,000 to $65,000 per year plus bonus

Our client is a large $750M+ tool manufacturing / distributor located in the NW Suburbs of Chicago and is seeking an Entry Level Staff Accountant to join the Accounting team. This is a full time position with benefits and the organization has growth through recent acquisitions over the last several years and has created a few new accounting positions due to growth. The organization is passionate about customer service and this transcends through every position in the organization. This is a great opportunity for the recent accounting graduate with his / her accounting degree that wants to learn nearly every aspect of the month close process.

A typical work week for the Staff Accountant will involve:

• Month close, posting of journal entries / internal reporting responsibilities
• Participating in audit requests from the public accounting firm
• The Staff Accountant will handle Inter-company reconciliations
• Handling accounting for small subsidiaries, including preparation of financials
• the Staff Accountant will perform bank reconciliations
• ad hoc project work
