We are currently seeking a Director of Commercial Real Estate Loan Origination to spearhead the sourcing, structuring, and closing of commercial real estate financings across various property types within our conduit CMBS business. This role will involve collaboration with loan underwriters, capital markets teams, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively source and originate CRE conduit loans, adhering to market standards and internal guidelines.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, focusing on origination opportunities across regional and national brokerage firms, local developers, and corporations.
• Conduct thorough pre-screening of opportunities to ensure alignment with underwriting and documentation processes.
• Lead a dynamic deal origination team in preparing and presenting lending packages for internal approval and investor analysis.
• Negotiate favorable loan terms and conditions with borrowers while maintaining a balance between client needs and bank interests.
• Provide comprehensive credit quality analysis and present financing requests to senior management and credit committees.
• Collaborate closely with transaction management, loan underwriting, syndication desks, and other teams to ensure a seamless loan process.
• Oversee the processing and closing of approved loans in line with company policies.
• Mentor and develop junior team members to foster growth and skills enhancement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in commercial real estate finance, finance, or a related field.
• Strong network of industry contacts, including mortgage brokers and decision-makers at potential borrowers.
• Proven success in originating and closing a significant volume of securitized CRE conduit loans.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial real estate financing.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to collaboration and team support.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
• This position is expected to work from the client's New York office during the weekdays, with some travel required.

The expected salary range for this position is $170,000 to $325,000 annually, with additional bonuses and benefits available. All full-time employees are eligible for various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401K, as per plan terms.
