Mechanical Assembler (1st & 2nd Shift) – Temp to Hire

Location: Kenosha, WI (Pleasant Prairie area)
Pay Range:

• 1st Shift: $18.00/hour
• 2nd Shift: $18.72/hour

About the Role

We’re hiring Mechanical Assemblers to join our client’s growing manufacturing team in Kenosha, Wisconsin . You’ll be assembling mechanical and electro-mechanical components, ensuring quality workmanship, and supporting production in a clean, organized environment.

Available Shifts

1st Shift:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
• OT if needed: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00am – 3:30pm
• OT if needed: Saturday, 5:00am – 11:00am
• No overtime during your first week

2nd Shift:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30pm – 12:00am
• OT if needed: Monday–Thursday, 3:30pm – 2:00am
• OT if needed: Saturday, 11:00am – 5:00pm
• No overtime during your first week

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations
• Assemble parts, structures, and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools
• Position, align, and fasten components per engineering drawings or blueprints
• Prepare and handle materials safely to avoid damage during assembly
• Assist electrical assemblers as needed
• Identify and report defective parts or unsafe conditions
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly (switchgear manufacturing preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills (MS Office or Google Suite)
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident (ITAR facility requirement)
