Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products through precise assembly and inspection tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general product assembly tasks such as fitting parts together, driving screws, applying labels, and cleaning parts/assemblies.
  • Execute cable assembly tasks, including cutting, stripping, crimping, and soldering wires according to work instructions, workflows, and schematics.
  • Assemble cables and terminate connectors by connecting wires, cables, and connectors using soldering irons, crimpers, and other hand tools.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and wiring configurations.
  • Conduct quality inspections of assembled products to verify conformance using electrical testing equipment to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product assemblies, such as wiring errors, loose connections, defective components, or identifying ill-fitting components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify process improvements and implement best practices for cable assembly.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in assembly, wire harnesses, and soldering with over 2 years of experience in wire harnessing, cables, and soldering.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment, hand and measuring tools, and production wiring.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior assembly experience and experience assembling small connectors.
  • Soldering experience and familiarity with electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to differentiate colors and possess a high level of hand dexterity.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or scientific field or certifications related to the manufacturing environment.
  • Required: High School Diploma/GED (General Equivalency Diploma).
Work Environment

The role requires working on-site Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, in a small, clean manufacturing and production environment. Join a small team with an awesome company culture, offering opportunities to grow in responsibilities and technical skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
