Job Description

Pride Health is hiring for an Anesthesia Technician II to support our client’s medical facility based in Austin, TX. This is a 13-Weeks assignment opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Assists anesthesiologist with preparation and placement of neurophysiologic monitors.
• Assists with induction by connecting patient to monitors.
• Assists with intubation.
• Assists with the maintenance of patient’s airway.
• Assists with the insertion of IVs and other invasive lines.
• Assists anesthesiologist during outside cases.
• Assists and anticipates needs of anesthesiologist in invasive monitor insertion and procedures such as arterial access, central venous access, fiberoptic intubation and/or difficult airway situations.
• Provides support to the patient care team throughout the case.
• Performs salvaged blood processing per protocol, as required by Department when needed.
• Assists anesthesiologist with volume infusions as directed during intraoperative procedures.

Education/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Life Support via American Heart Association required.
• Anesthesia Tech, 2 years minimal experience with trauma 1 or 2 designation in hospital, peds preferred.
• AT Certification preferred.

Candidate must have one of the below certifications:

• Cert Anesthesia TECH via the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) OR
• Associate's degree - Completion of an anesthesia technician training program approved by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) OR
• 5 years' experience as an Anesthesia Technician will be accepted in lieu of the Cer-A-T
• Required- 3 years' experience as an anesthesia technician.

Job Title: Anesthesia Tech II

Location: Austin, TX

Schedule: 12 hrs 7:00 pm to 7:00 am Saturday and Sunday and evening shift Monday and Tuesday 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm

Pay Range: $25 to $31/hr (* Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)
