We are seeking an Accounting Manager in the High Point, NC area to oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable function and lead a team of staff and senior accountants. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong receivables management practices, and supporting the organization’s overall financial health. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and experienced in leading accounting teams in a fast-paced environment.
Manage staff and senior accountants within the accounts receivable function.
Partner with key personnel on new business initiatives to ensure invoicing and receivables processes are accurate and timely.
Handle escalated consumer or client account issues, balancing fiduciary responsibility with excellent customer service.
Support monthly accounting close cycles, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
Review accounting entries and provide real-time analysis during close and post-close review.
Ensure compliance with proper accounting methods, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with leadership to implement high-quality accounting systems and reporting processes.
Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff to establish standardized procedures and maintain compliance with professional standards.
Coordinate and support annual audits and recommend process improvements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
CPA license or active progress toward CPA preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of related accounting experience, with demonstrated leadership in accounts receivable or general accounting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
